I’m arranging for the source code to be uploaded to a Subversion repository under the GPL license in the next couple of days. Although read access to the source will be available to the general public, if anyone is interested to getting developer access please submit your feature/patch for me to review so that based on your contributions I can add you to the project.

Excellent! I’ve been waiting for this.
headsup : aha, can’t post from brainsnbrawns, but can direct
awesome job! keep it going
XBMC was the best thing on the XBOX! Think how awesome the 360 would be with XBMC306 drooool
Keep up the good work albert.
wow this is amazing, mass props to all you do! thank you so much!
well so far it is transcoding…but how long will it take?…it says it depends on the movie size. I iwll see how long i can watch the spinning wait cursor…
Worked on first try, i was attempting to use the other method to stream divx, but this was much simpler, thank you.
Hey thanks for all the stuff you have done for the Xbox, I love XBMC, I am even getting another Xbox this week just for XBMC for another room. And now you come out with this, when will it end with your great contributions. I home never.
Thanks
Tim Sykes
I have installed Windows Media Encoder 9, Transcode 360 v1.0, and now when I try and transcode a show from my network drive I get the message:
“Transcode 360 Exception: Unable to queue video file for transcoding and streaming”
Any ideas?
thanks for all the time and effort you contribute.. we really appreciate it
OK - I copied the movie file across to the local machine’s My Videos folder and it works fine… it just won’t queue if the file resides on a network share.
Is this a bug?
Thanks,
Shane.
Dude, This awsome. All i have to say is good job and keep it up. Hopefully you will get something to the extent to the first xbmc(which is my only reason i still have the original xbox).
my movies stream within 10 seconds. I have no problems even with 7-800 meg files. Perfect! Thank you very much adios XBMC!
Any chance of getting this working with the ‘My Movies’ program to stream dvds?
Guys at the moment theres only me working on the project (with some help from the /mceDivX360 author Casey). I’m going to work out a better way to support you folks, in the meantime if you have any specific issues, and have read the troubleshooting section in the manual then, send me the log files and I’ll investigate. Also, if you’ve not been able to get /mceDivX360 to work then most likely you have a problem with codecs on your machine, Windows Media Encoder is v. fussy - so make sure you can get that right. At the moment DivX 6.1 and AC3 filter are the only codecs that seem to work with WME. If you have ffdshow, uninstall it and try with the suggested codecs first.
Shane: it is possible to get it to Transcode and stream video from a network share on another box through Media Center provided the Transcode service is running with credentials that have sufficient permission, that’s how I play all my media - but anyway please send in the log files and a brief explanation of your network config and I’ll look into it.
