Shane: it is possible to get it to Transcode and stream video from a network share on another box through Media Center provided the Transcode service is running with credentials that have sufficient permission, that's how I play all my media - but anyway please send in the log files and a brief explanation of your network config and I'll look into it.

Guys at the moment theres only me working on the project (with some help from the /mceDivX360 author Casey). I'm going to work out a better way to support you folks, in the meantime if you have any specific issues, and have read the troubleshooting section in the manual then, send me the log files and I'll investigate. Also, if you've not been able to get /mceDivX360 to work then most likely you have a problem with codecs on your machine, Windows Media Encoder is v. fussy - so make sure you can get that right. At the moment DivX 6.1 and AC3 filter are the only codecs that seem to work with WME. If you have ffdshow, uninstall it and try with the suggested codecs first.

OK - I copied the movie file across to the local machine's My Videos folder and it works fine... it just won't queue if the file resides on a network share.

Is this a bug?

Thanks,
Shane.

I have installed Windows Media Encoder 9, Transcode 360 v1.0, and now when I try and transcode a show from my network drive I get the message:

"Transcode 360 Exception: Unable to queue video file for transcoding and streaming"

Any ideas?
