Published by runtime 360 February 8th, 2006 in TranscodingTheres been a pretty mixed response to the first beta which was to be expected as Windows Media Encoder is extremely finnicky about which codecs work and don’t. The other sort of problem is permissions, if you don’t provide Transcode 360 with a valid username/password at install time then the service will not install correctly (although it may appear to).
Once you get past this all should be well.
Known working codecs:
ffdshow (video codecs only)
DivX 6.1 (disable the toolbar)
Quicktime (alternative)
Real Media (alternative)
Nero Digital Video
MPEG Layer-3 Decoder
AC3 Filter
