Interim release Beta 3.1

I wanted to say a word of thanks for the feedback you’ve given us to date and give you the heads up on an interim release thats coming your way very soon.

A number of bugs were reported that although easily fixable, were causing quite a lot of problems and general distress, so I wanted to let you know that we’re currently testing an interim Beta 3.1 build which we hope will address the following issues:

1. WmeBroadcastTranscoder disabled by default (no need for Windows Media Encoder)
2. Region neutral framerate parsing (smoother playback in non-US/UK territories).
3. The latest mencoder (available from the main website)
4. The ability to disable CleanProcessesOnStart (improve service startup time)
5. W1LL3M’s subtitle patch

I’ll update the download link on the left sidebar as soon as the new build is available.

Thanks for your support!

Hey mate… when I try to download the new transcode it sends me to this page…

    http://runtime360.com/tracker/click.php?id=3

Which gives a ‘ The page cannot be found ‘ error message.

Can you sort this out pls? Would like to get hold of it!

    Hi there,

First up thanks for a fantastic piece of software.

I’m hitting a problem with the transcoder when transcoding the “Thankyou for Smoking” trailer (http://community.divx.com/movies/details.php?id=74)

Around the courtroom scene with william macy I’m always getting “Network Congestion” reports on the 360. Ditto in the talk show segment.

This is running on a wired 100mb lan, the network performance monitor says it’s fine for HD content (the 360 & MC are the only things on the network). The file plays back fine ‘natively’ on the MCE PC (reasonably enough!), it’s only on the 360 when transcoding that it reports congestion.

Running windows task manager shows my network card hitting 50% used but no more, so I’m wondering if this is a problem in the code?

The is running on a 2.4GHz box with 2 gig of ram so I don’t think it’s a system resource issue.

On transcoding in diagnostics mode, the console reports ‘Complete pre-buffered media was found’

Anyway, just wondered if you can recreate this yourself & see a problem?…

    thanks!

    Duncan
