Beta 4 - Get It While Its Hot!
Published by runtime 360 May 2nd, 2006 in TranscodingThis new release of Transcode 360 features a user interface for managing your settings as well as a number of substantial improvements:
Both 2 and 6 channel (5.1) AC3 is supported and the AV sync issue affecting NTSC content has been fixed. Note that due to reliability issues Forward/Backward Skip are disabled while streaming AC3 soundtracks.
In addition to regular playback of XviD and DivX, Transcode 360 supports DVD ISO and VIDEO_TS folder streaming with subtitles; determining the best combination of soundtrack/subtitles appropriate to you based on your locale.

Any requirement to remove previous versions before installing the latest beta?
Albert, it’s beautiful and working like a charm
Thanks for the effort

pnear: You should always uninstall before installing a new version.
nice job! It’s suggested that you can add encoding support for subtitle. Currently, I modify MEncoderTranscoder , and add “-subcp cp950″ as additional arguments for asia characters. For now, it works nice.
This has to be one of the best and most useful programs I’ve ever had! Thank you very much for all your work on this!
I’ve just tried Transcode360 and it’s such a great little tool!
Thanks for all your hard work!
Excellent work, i have 1 media centre pc wired to a router, 1 xbox360 wired to the router, wireless 54mb laptop 3 floors up (connection speed avg 36mb) with another xbox360 wired into it, had 2 different films streaming off the one PC to two xbox360’s and worked a treat!
The big question I guess is, have any of you guys donated?
We’re getting a hell of a lot from Albert here, hopefully a few will join me in donating to keep the project alive rather than leeching and running off until the next rls.
