I didn't mention it but the following day my TV signal booster got knocked out by lightning...! I thought bad luck was supposed to come in 3's? I got the car sorted (TDCi engine), dodgy camshaft sensor, quite inexpensive repair fortunately! BT swapped my line for another that comes into the house, effectively replacing the copper between my house and the exchange, still getting DSL signal loss / disconnections - but not so bad, so I've been asked to monitor things for the next few days...

Car randomly cutting out? Sounds exciting. Driving a functioning car is just so predictable.

I have been visiting this site for awhile now keeping up to date on 360 news, but I have just recently purchased a 360 a few days ago. Of course, I was excited to get Transcode working, and it works just as advertised. I was a bit worried for a minute that giving up a modded xbox with XBMC would leave me with just a regular gaming console. . .

The 360 dashboard features and media center are pretty much exactly what I already had with XBMC. MS actually payed attention to homebrew that was on the original xbox? Good job with the app thus far runtime

Hi Gamester, ltns - actually the source code was open sourced on Novell's site some time ago but I've recieved very little interest outside of that. I have seen a couple of people are interested in calling T360 from 'Hosted Html' which is perfectly possible to do right now (and is what the whole My Movies thing is about) if you're familiar with .NET remoting (I can provide examples if folks are interested). Its also possible to fix bugs in the transcoding process by editing the transcoder plug-in source, so a thorough understanding of the whole solution is not required.
